If you don't want them to change size at a relative or similar rate or not at all, the element of whether they are tied together or not, is in those boxes. This bounding box controls how Figma positions and arranges text on the canvas. Obviously you can push delete layer, but that is too slow for me. Please do tell! I’m so used to using CTRL-drag to quickly switch to the arrow, but when Text Tool is active, CTRL still does a resize. However, the option was intially greyed out. In CS5 now- worth pointing out that if you use the Text tool the ‘Convert to paragraph text’ option in the Layer type is disabled. Right Click the element on the stage and select Transform > Edit Transform 4. I just wanted the type to wrap in the box as the box size was changed, and make the box size fit the text and not the other way around. So you can easily make another size text, right click on a text note, select all and change it to the other size. I went to the menu and chose Layer>Type>Convert to Paragraph Text. So, if you really do need to resize a Text Placeholder, do it within the Slide Master not only to provide a consistent look to your presentation, but also to prevent yourself from monotonous job of resizing Text Placeholders on each and every slide. I used to know a shortcut (I THINK in PS, but perhaps it was InDesign) that made the text box correctly size itself to the text… which is what I was looking for… but this worked, too! anyways, I had this problem before and I figures it out via google, so back I go to google…. In Photoshop CC there is a bug when changing text attributes such as font size or letter spacing. Just use this guide to take control of the size and resolution of your images. Make sure you are using the Text Tool and NOT the Move tool.
